🗓️ Week 05 - Regression in Practice + ANOVA

We will finish the regression material from Week 4 and organize it around three goals: description, inference and prediction.

Thu Oct 22 & Tue Oct 27 (Part 1): confidence intervals, the F-test, categorical predictors and interactions, diagnostics, and prediction with cross-validation.
Thu Oct 29 (Part 2): ANOVA (one-way ANOVA, assumptions, multiple comparisons and two-way ANOVA), followed by variable selection (AIC/BIC, stepwise). Your project proposal is due at the start of class.

Next class (Tue Nov 3) is for project proposal presentations: 3 minutes per group, groups 1 to 13.

📝 Homework

HW4 (linear and logistic regression) is released Thursday, Oct 29, and is due Thursday, Nov 12, 11:59 pm.
